NatWest in partnership with the WRU has launched NatWest RugbyForce, a nationwide programme, designed to make rugby clubs stronger businesses by improving and renovating their facilities with the support of volunteers and the community. The work focuses around the NatWest RugbyForce Weekend, which takes place on June 15 and 16, 2013.
To celebrate the launch of this exciting programme NatWest and the WRU have teamed up and clubs who register can look forward to a chance of receiving lots of exciting rewards and benefits, including online toolkits on how to get the most out of your RugbyForce event. All registered clubs will be invited to attend one of our six free planning workshops across Wales (Locations to be confirmed). The workshops provide support and guidance on how to plan and manage facility improvement projects over the RugbyForce Weekend and beyond with the aim of making your club a stronger and more viable business in the long term. Each club will be offered one place at the workshops. Club members attending the workshop must be aged 18 or over. Travel and accommodation are not provided.
As well as guidance and support, the NatWest RugbyForce programme also guarantees funding to 25 WRU associated rugby clubs who have registered for NatWest RugbyForce 2013, through renovation grants of amounts of £250 (25 prizes to be won) and £5000 (1 prize to be won), meaning 1 of the 25 clubs will receive a total of £5250, to fund a major renovation project over the NatWest RugbyForce Weekend.
Closing date for entries for the workshops and renovation grants is 6th May 2013.
Details on how to register for NatWest RugbyForce 2014, will appear here at a later date.
