North returns for Scarlets

The recovery of the Wales wing, who suffered a neck injury against Ulster earlier this month, is a huge boost for Wales interim head coach Rob Howley ahead of the Six Nations.

North starts the final Heineken Cup Pool Five game though centre Scott Williams misses the game with a shoulder problem. He is though expected to join up with the Wales squad as normal on Monday.

In a further boost for Howley, flanker Aaron Shingler is among the replacements following his recovery from a groin problem.

Simon Easterby's side will be looking for their first European win of the season but face a tough ask against the team who beat them 49-16 in France earlier in the competition.

A win for Clermont, who include Wales full back Lee Byrne, would see them guarantee a place in the quarter finals.

Byrne, who has recovered from a fractured vertebrae, faces a direct match up against fellow Six Nations squad member Liam Williams in what should be an interesting head-to-head.
