Young Volunteers

Volunteering in Rugby is open for all ages, however we understand it can be daunting for a 16 year old to start volunteering in a strange environment. This section is all about youth (16-25) volunteering programs that are available to get you started on your journey to volunteering in Rugby.

DofE Logo

The WRU and DofE have started to work together to provide more opportunities to people completing their DofE award and providing more structure and support to what is already in place. Check out our DofE page for more information.

REA LogoRugby Enterprise Academy

The Rugby Enterprise Academy has been running since 2012 and has provided many university students a chance to work alongside Wales's Premiership and Championship Clubs in way that no one else can provide.

Youth Leaders

Youth Leaders are another university project designed to give students the opportunity to inspire and mentor a younger group completing a community project through the Going Forward Scheme. For more information look at the Youth Leaders page.

Going Forward

The WRU are currently developing a scheme targeting 16-18 year old students as a way of not only helping them complete the 30 hour Welsh Bacc requirement (or DofE volunteering requirement) but also to reward and inspire them to reach further and higher than they ever thought possible. Have a look at the Going Forward section for more information.
