John Lloyd captained Wales at loose-head prop in three of his 24 international appearances and also skippered and coached Bridgend.

He was appointed in December 1979, coaching UWIC and teaching at Ynysawdre Comp School after finishing as Wales Head Coach. He stood down as coach after a 34-18 home loss against Scotland.
