Head of Rugby
The former England international joined the Welsh Rugby Union in October 2013, as Head of Rugby.
Alongside a career in professional rugby union, he also graduated from Bristol University, The College of Law and RMA Sandhurst as an Officer in the Royal Artillery. He also led a consultancy business specialising in Organisational Performance.
The focus on organisational performance continued after retiring from the game with him working for PWC as a management consultant, leading a range of projects across different sectors and industries.
Having also had a background in trading stocks he took the opportunity to move client-side to the trading floor of Citibank in which he then reviewed the operational structure and communications process of the Equities model.
As a consequence he was put forward to EMEA Head of Business Advisory Services but having deliberately left sport to 'earn' the right to return at a level he could attempt to make a positive difference, he chose to return, taking the role of interim CEO and Performance Director of Cornish Pirates over the summer of 2013.
