Wales launched its assault on the most powerful teams in world rugby in the autumn of 2010 with a new multi-million pound sponsorship partnership which emblazons the international insurance services brand Admiral onto the famous Welsh jersey.
The Welsh Rugby Union has contracted to Admiral for the next three years in a deal which links two of the biggest brands now representing the sporting, commercial and culture image of the nation outside Wales.
Admiral was launched in 1993 and has grown into one of the UK's most high profile car insurance specialists, insuring 2.4 million vehicles accounting for more than seven per cent of the UK market. It also has brands in Europe and the United States. It is the only FTSE100 company based in Wales and has been named Welsh Company of the Year three times.
Admiral employs 3,600 people across South Wales and the company's headquarters are in Cardiff, just a short walk from the Millennium Stadium which is the home of Welsh rugby.
