The Welsh Rugby Union has joined with hundreds of well-wishers in offering a message of support to Owen Williams who has suffered a significant injury to his cervical vertebrae and spinal cord.
The WRU will continue to liaise closely with the Cardiff Blues whose management are in close contact with Owen, his family and medical staff in Singapore.
Williams was injured while playing in the World Club 10s competition at the weekend and has since undergone surgery to stabilise a fracture.
Williams has won four Welsh caps after making his senior international debut against Japan on the 2013 summer tour. He was also capped by Wales at U16 and U20 level and by Wales Sevens having graduated through the Blues Academy to join the Cardiff Blues senior side in 2010.
The WRU repeats the Cardiff Blues request that the privacy of Owen Williams and his family is respected at this time.
