Sadly for all the fans in north Wales, two tries from Harry Wells and a score from Jack Nowell were enough to guide England to the win and with it the Six Nations title.
Fly half Sam Davies booted all of Wales' points with five penalties but Wilson was left to rue his team's second half performance.
Here's what the Wales U20 head coach had to say straight after the defeat:
"We're disappointed with tonight, especially in the second half - our performance was poor.
"We didn't control territory or possession and we got a good lesson from them in how to get in the right areas of the park and then we struggled with their driving line-out which ultimately won them the game.
"We made some poor decisions tonight but against some much better opposition, we'll now look forward to the Junior World Cup.
"After this loss, there's plenty to look forward to and lots of positives to take."
