Talismanic Italy skipper Sergio Parisse will miss Saturday's showdown against Wales after being suspended for 30 days.
Parisse will be free to play again on 18 March, after seeing red last weekend playing for his club Stade Francais against Bordeaux-Begles when he was dismissed for allegedly insulting match referee Laurent Cardona.
The ban, 40 days with 10 suspeneded, rules him out of Italy's remaining RBS 6 Nations games this season against Wales, England and Ireland.
The No 8 was sent off after 36 minutes of Stade's home match with Bordeaux-Begles, having scored a try in the fourth minute.
