Welsh Rugby Union : Newsroom : Thomas passes fitness test

Wales and Ospreys flanker Jonathan Thomas has come through a fitness test to be confirmed as a replacement for Wales' clash against Ireland in the RBS 6 Nations at the Millennium Stadium tomorrow.

Thomas has been suffering with a dead-leg but will now take his place amongst the replacements alongside Scarlet Rob McCusker, with them both providing second and back row cover.

Wasps back row Andy Powell is the player, from the three named to fill two replacement positions last Tuesday, who misses out on this occasion.

RGC 1404 have celebrated their crowning as Division One East winners, after just one season of competitive rugby. A big crowd turned out to support the clubs 'Celebration Saturday' when they were presented with the SWALEC trophy following their definitive 45-0 home win against Rhydydfelin on 18 May.

Wrexham have won the SWALEC National League Division 3 title, having topped the table with 83 points, eight points ahead of their nearest challenger Menai Bridge.
