BRITISH SPEEDWAY GRAND PRIX 2006 MILLENNIUM STADIUM DATE ANNOUNCED

It's the news all British speedway fans have been waiting for, the world championship's sixth consecutive year at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium and tickets are on sale with immediate effect.

John Postlethwaite, Chief Executive, BSI, who announced the date live on Sky Sports last night said: "Each year the event gets bigger and better. With over 40,000 fans the British Speedway Grand Prix has become the biggest annual stadium motorsport event in Europe and we are looking forward to welcoming even more spectators in 2006.

"We are very proud of the fact we've been able to keep the adult entry price below £30 which will allow us to continue to attract a new generation of speedway fans to our showpiece event."

All adult fans who book their 2006 British Grand Prix ticket before the 31st December 2005 will be rewarded with a superb, 88page, free event programme.
