"A draw is not what we wanted, but we are still in there," said Young.
"There were two very physical teams out there and nobody wanted to give anything.
"The physicality and intensity was right up there with anything I've seen at regional level this season.
"It was a very tough. I thought the defences really closed each other down and made it difficult for both teams to play.
"The contact area was really ferocious and it was difficult to put any phases together and both teams struggled to get any front-foot quick ball to play off.
"Obviously we wanted to win but we have to be happy with a draw. It is a very difficult place to get anything and very few teams do as they are a quality, well coached team.
"I'm very proud of the effort and the commitment of the players. I thought they were first class. We showed glimpses of how good we can be."
