The young Exiles struggled to gain any meaningful possession and struggled in some defensive areas. Nevertheless, they will be far better for the experience of playing against a stronger, quicker, well organised side.
In the true tradition of the Welsh Exiles, the senior squad showed tremendous spirit and competed equally well in most facets of play. However, the hosts were able to rotate their very large squad and finished the stronger against a tiring side.
Welsh Exiles Secretary Terwyn Williams thanked North Wales and particularly Colwyn Bay for hosting the event adding: "This was always going to be a stiff test for us but we are delighted with the attitude and commitment demonstrated by Exiles players who had travelled from all over the country.
"It was a great opportunity for Exiles players to play against some of the top young regional players in Wales. We are looking forward to developing our relationship with the North Wales Region and on today's showing their Under 16s and Under 18s squads will be hard to beat next season".
