Following speculation in the media, the Six Nations has comfirmed that they are conducting a review of the women's championship as is the case for all their events at the end of the championship each year.
Through these reviews the Six Nations office aim to develop the game of rugby at all levels, taking into account player welfare, cost and competition issues.
No further comments will be made on these reviews until they are completed.
