Croesyceiliog Ladies picked themselves up and brushed off the previous weekends' defeat by returning to winning ways against Gwernyfed with a comfortable 29-0 victory on Sunday.

The game was dominated by forward play, with the now recognisable strong runs of Danielle Gagne, Charlotte Kembrey and Lee Hatherall to the fore while outstanding driving play by Carly Salter and Kristina Cantello also stood out.

Through the forwards game came tries by Kembrey, Gagne (2) and scrum half Hannah Roberts with two successful conversions by fly half, Kerry Jenkins.

Gwernyfed stopped many more Croesy attacks, defended their line well and were able to clear with a number of long kicks but full back Justine Desmond caught all the high balls and made excellent ground straight back at Gwernyfed and scored her own try through what was a relatively unusual period of backs possession.

Pontypridd assistant coach Paul John was delighted with the way his side finished off the season with a commanding performance in the Principality Premiership final.
