A presentation will be made to Ponty coach Paul John by the organisers of the BUPA Great Welsh Run which took place on July 27th, in respect of the fund-raising efforts of members of the Pontypridd and Neath squads during that event.
While there will be much reminiscing amongst the players and supporters of both clubs on Saturday, and many tales told of a lost friend, the continuing needs of Snid's young family must be a priority.
The Gareth Jones Trust Fund will continue to organise events and raise monies for a cause that is close to the hearts of all at Pontypridd and Neath rugby clubs.
"As clubs we have been brought together by the tragic death of our fellow son Snid - a larger than life character with that cheeky smile and ever changing hair styles. He was a talented scrum half who always gave of his all," said former Wales back row Dale McIntosh.
"Not a week goes by without thinking of him and I know that his legacy will live on."
