Cardiff-born presenter Gethin Jones was filming Jake's cooking challenge as he attempted to satiate the Welsh Rugby team's hunger after an arduous training session.
The item, which also features Gethin being put through his paces by Wales Team Fitness Coach Mark Bennett and picking up eating tips from the team nutritionist and chef, will be screened next month.
Jake met his heroes, Wales captain Gareth Thomas and centre James Hook and was also given a personalised rugby shirt after cooking a healthy version of spaghetti carbonara for the squad and wishing them luck for their must-win Pool B clash with Fiji tomorrow.
"The whole Blue Peter team would like to wish the Wales team the best of luck tomorrow, especially myself and Jake as we are both proud Welshmen," said presenter Jones, who had to take time out of training for the Strictly Come Dancing Show to meet the team.
"I played a bit of rugby at university and at Sale rugby club in my youth and I'm a passionate follower.
"I'm like everyone else shouting at the TV screen for the players to run faster and hit harder during a game, but catching up with them for a training session this morning really brings it home to you how tough these guys really are.
"It wasn't like a training session it was more like a war zone out there, I've got the scars of battle to prove it and I was only doing the conditioning part of the training!
"Jake really enjoyed the filming and meeting his heroes and I also met a few of mine here as well."
The Welsh team welcomed Blue Peter staff into their midst and certain players also received a significant boost ahead of the big game this weekend.
"I had to nag and nag, but eventually I got one and some of the other boys picked them up too," added the 6ft 6inch, 19 stone second row Will James, also known as 'the beast', whilst proudly sporting a Blue Peter badge.
"I know it's a bit sad, but I'm genuinely pleased as punch and the boys who didn't get them are pretty jealous."
Fans who wish to join Jake and the Blue Peter team in wishing Wales good luck against Fiji on Saturday can send their messages via http://www.wru.co.uk/ and team management have promised to post them on the changing room walls on matchday.
