The Wales National Coach cut the ribbon at the new Dragon Suite on Level 4, watched by WRU Group Chief Executive Roger Lewis and representatives of the four Welsh regions.
The Dragon Suite will become the plush new home of the Millennium Stadium's exclusive Club 200, which offers fans the chance to buy an annual hospitality season ticket to all rugby and soccer events at the home of Welsh Sport.
"The Millennium Stadium's Club 200 has already had a fantastic uptake and will be one of the flagship areas of our corporate hospitality opportunities at major events," said Rupert Moon, Head of Group Commercial. "The Dragon Suite has been given a complete makeover and Club 200 members are provided with padded seats on the halfway line for all WRU and FAW matches. Members enjoy a pre-match hot meal, post-match snack and complimentary bar and they also get a match programme and limited edition gift."
The Club 200 contract began on November 1st 2006 and will run for a year. They cost £2200 plus VAT and already subscriptions are close to capacity.
"We have learned a lot about our hospitality packages by listening to and working closely with our customers and the upgraded facilities at The Dragon Suite are exactly what our customers are calling for" said Moon.
"We have in excess of 4000 hospitality places to sell for both our Ireland and England games in the Six Nations this season, including our boxes. More than 70% of the boxes are secured on long term licences and if we sell all of our one-off, on-site hospitality, then we will bring in an additional £1million plus gross revenue into the group."
With less than 6% of the total hospitality left to sell, fans need to move quickly if they want to see Wales play Ireland and England.
Packages start at £279 + VAT and are cheaper than some of the black market prices being paid for tickets alone.
