"We have one or two injury concerns," admitted Ashton. "We won't be announcing the team until Friday lunchtime, but I don't think that David Bory or Michael Stephenson, who popped a collarbone will play. We are hoping that Matt Stevens and the rest of the front row guys will be fit and in contention. Olly Barkley had the pins taken out of his thumb on Tuesday, so it will be two or three weeks now before he is fit and available."
One player who could feature is vice-captain Matt Perry. England's most-capped full back has been sidelined since January due to thumb ligament damage, but could get his chance to shine owing to the injury problems in the back three. "Matt is in great spirits, fully fit and could be in contention to start on Saturday."
The Bath Rugby Clubhouse will be open to screen the semi-final for those who are unable to attand the big game in Cardiff. Doors open at 4.15pm.
