Justin Marshall is also rested though former Springbok Stefan Terblanche is re-called in a second-string Ospreys line-up.
Coach Lyn Jones said: "This week's preparations have been hugely disrupted due to Wales squad training commitments. As a result we have brought in a lot of new players, but we have a strong squad and we are confident that the players we have drafted in are more than capable of performing at this level.
"Just because we enjoyed a comfortable win last week we cannot expect just to turn up and expect to win "Bath are a proud team with a strong forward pack and they have always offered a very physical approach to the game and are a confident side at the Rec which can be an intimidating pale to play."
