"Obviously, as the League table suggests, this is another big challenge for us. We were very pleased to win at Bridgend last week as that result gave us a six-point lead at the top of the table but we are keeping our feet firmly on the ground," said Phillips. "Pontypridd are the only side to have beaten us this season - way back in September when this team had just come together - but we do not view it as simply a chance to correct one result. We believe we have improved a lot since then, as I am sure Ponty have as well, so it will be interesting to measure our progress."
"Both clubs are working very hard on developing the next generation of stars and many candidates for this year's Wales Under-21's XV will be on display. Like us, Pontypridd want to play the game at pace so it should be fire-cracker of a match for both sets of fans."
"We have trained well and hard this week, players in our squad are bursting to get a start so we will freshen up the side with a few changes. It is Welsh rugby's match of the day that should attract the crowd of the day and I know the All Blacks' "Barmy Army" intend to out-shout what will be a vocal Pontypridd following."
