The first release of tickets is to the Rugby Community across the whole of Europe, a move that rewards the loyal rugby family that week in week out supports our great game - including players, volunteers, administrators, spectators and officials.
Until April 2006 tickets are on sale exclusively to registered members of European rugby clubs or unions. During this preferential sales phase, members can enjoy special prices on City packs, which will be 5% cheaper than for the general public in the first seat categories. To find out more contact your rugby club and/or Union.
This will be the first Rugby World Cup that match tickets and ticket packages will be sold over the Internet to rugby supporters around the world regardless of where they come from. Previously, those supporters outside the host nation only had access to tickets if they were purchased with accommodation and travel as part of the official international travel programme.

The City Pack
Offers entry to pool matches taking place in one host city. Each City Pack is configured differently depending on the number of pool matches included and may contain the option to buy tickets for a quarter final.
Example: North West of France - Nantes pack with its three pool matches, England v Samoa, Wales v Fiji and Wales v Americas 2. This pack also provides entry to a quarter final at either Cardiff, Marseille or Saint-Denis.
UK residents can enjoy matches without too much travelling by buying packs for Edinburghand Cardiff. The Cardiff pack for example gives three pool matches in the Millennium Stadium (Wales v Australia, Wales v Asia 1, Fiji v Americas 2) and the possibility of a ticket to one of the quarter finals.
The Team Pack
Offers tickets to watch a specific team for the whole competition, including quarter and semi-finals. This type of pack means a supporter will not miss any of the games of one of the 8 major rugby playing nations, including England, Scotland, Walesand Ireland.
Each Team pack has three different combinations built around the freedom to buy tickets for all the pool matches of the chosen team, its potential quarter final and semi final.
The overall success of the event depends largely on a policy of reasonable pricing which acknowledges the prestigious nature of the event while keeping it affordable. At the outset the price policy is designed around two factors: classifying pool matches into price levels based on appeal, and seating in different categories.
The cheapest tickets will be €10 to encourage a broad range of people to attend the stadiums and experience Rugby World Cup.
10% of tickets (250,000 seats) will be €15 or less
45% of tickets (1.2 million seats) will be at equivalent prices for top French club matches
30% of tickets for the knockout stages will be at equivalent prices for Six Nations matches
25 % of pool matches will be below the attractive price of €20
Prices for the quarter finals and the opening ceremony will start at €49
Nearly 15,000 seats for the final will be sold for less than €100
