Glamorgan Wanderers just edged out Beddau by 16-13 in a tight finish at the Memorial Ground. No 8 Emyr Christopher scored the Wanderers try and full back Mark Haywood converted and kicked a penalty hat-trick, but Brett Davey landed two penalties and then converted a try by flanker Rhys Edwards for Beddau.
Blackwood's debutant fly half Paul Emannuelli placed two conversions and a penalty as his club defeated Brynmawr 27-10 with tries coming from wing Jamie Jones, No 8 Paul Williams, prop Jason Rogers and flanker Lewis Lovell.
