Rugby fans in Cardiff will be able to kick their way to an RBS 6 Nations game this year. The Royal Bank of Scotland, sponsors of the RBS 6 Nations Championship, will be kicking-off with 'Kick for an RBS 6 Nations Ticket' competition at Churchill Way at 11am on Friday 13 February 2004 in advance of the start of the RBS 6 Nations Championship. The competition will tour the four Home Union capital cities.
RBS has created a unique virtual rugby kicking environment using inflatable rugby kicking posts. All aspiring Neil Jenkins' are invited to come down and test their kicking skills. There will also be big screens showing highlights from the 2003 RBS 6 Nations Championship.
British & Irish Lions' legends, Ieuan Evans and David Sole, will be at Churchill Way during the day encouraging fans to get involved.
Competitors who manage to kick directly through the middle of the posts will have the chance to win a pair of tickets to a Wales home game and possibly a fantastic trip to London to watch Wales play England on Saturday 20 March. Win or lose, no-one will leave the 'Kick for an RBS 6 Nations Ticket' empty handed. There will be RBS mini rugby balls for everyone who takes part and all goal scorers will win an official RBS 6 Nations supporter's jersey.
Any fans that are unable to attend the events will have the chance to go online to www.rbs6nations.com and 'Click for an RBS 6 Nations Ticket'.
Howard Moody, Group Director, Communications, The Royal Bank of Scotland Group said: "Kick for an RBS 6 Nations Ticket will give participants a fun opportunity to test their kicking skills against their colleagues as well as offering them the chance to win highly sought after tickets to this year's RBS 6 Nations matches."
