Welsh Premiership Preview

Only three of the 17 Premier clubs go into this evening's round of matches with an unbeaten record with Carmarthen Quins looking to have the hardest task as they make the journey to Swansea and include the former Swansea and Wales lock Paul Arnold in their squad.

Holders Newport make a short trip to Newbridge's Welfare Ground for a derby match, while Neath take on Llandovery at the Gnoll and include Wales cap Mefin Davies at hooker with lock Chris Gittins taking over the captaincy.

Pontypridd will be without both their badly-injured captain Paul Matthews and his deputy Dale McIntosh for the trip to Cross Keys, but have Paul John at scrum half and young wingers Chris Clayton and Gary Williams in their lineup.

Aberavon have their first-ever loan player from the Neath-Swansea Ospreys when Nathan Bonner-vans turns out at No 8 in the match against Bridgend at the Brewery Field. Richard Morris switches to blind-side flanker and former Llanelli scrum half Adrian Williams makes his first start, while lock Paul Morgan makes a quick return to his former club.

Llanharan are without the injured Jonathan Myott, David Atkins and Fakateah Molitika for their visit to Bedwas, while Ebbw Vale and Pontypool will have a rare tussle at Eugene Cross Park and Stradey Park is the venue for Llanelli against Cardiff.
