The Ospreys secured their place at the top of the table with a convincing win over Cardiff Blues on Saturday evening. Gavin Henson was again in inspired form for the Ospreys, collecting 19 points as the Ospreys dominated throughout.
Henson landed an early penalty and then was the catalyst to Duncan Jones' opening try for the Ospreys, his switch with Jason Spice creating space for the prop out wide. Henson converted and added two penalties before the break, with Lee Thomas kicking the Blues' only points of the half.
The visitors were further disadvantaged when Rhys Williams was stretchered off and within 15 minutes of the restart the game was finished as a contest when a missed Shane Williams drop goal was chased by David Bishop who beat Nick MacLeod to the touch down. Henson converted and after Jason Spice collected a third try the Ospreys were able to press forward for the bonus point.
Fittingly it was left to Henson to gain the extra point as he side stepped through a hapless Blues' defence to collect the fourth try, while Sony Parker compounded the misery for the visitors in the closing minutes with a fifth score.
