Family Fun At Welsh Women's Super League

The Welsh Women's Rugby Union is inviting the world - and his wife! - to a family fun day at Llanrumney on Saturday (11th September). The second round of the WWRU's 'Esporta Super League' will take place at the Cardiff University playing fields and, together with all the rugby action, bouncy castles, ball pits food and clothes stalls will all add to the family fun at this free to enter event.

This tournament is run in four regions - East, West, Central and North Wales - at Under 13, Under 16, Under 19 and Senior level. The competitions then double up as the trials for national selection.

Kicking off at 1pm is North v Central, both teams won their first games last week at Llandovery and one of these teams will be top of the table come Saturday night! Television personality Non Evans (Central) and Women's rugby star Kylie Wilson (North) will captain their respective regions and with no less than 13 senior internationals on display, it should be an in intriguing match up.

East then face West at 2:45pm with both teams looking for their first win. Having gone down to the North by just 3 points last Saturday they will be looking to get one over their colleagues from along the M4 corridor. Captained by Louise Rickard (East) and Awen Thomas (West), a close encounter is on the cards. Remember entry is free and fans are encouraged to bring along friends and family for a great day out!
