Lloyd Williams was called up to the Wales squad over the 2011 summer and became a valuable member of Wales’ RWC 2011 squad.
Lloyd impressed when he came on for Mike Phillips and he touched down against both Fiji and Namibia during the competition.
The son of Wales and Lions scrum half, Brynmor, Williams made an impression for the Blues in 2010/11 with his strength and line-breaking ability and he scored his first try for them against Aironi.
Selected for the Wales Under 20 squad for the 2009 IRB Junior World Championship after missing most of the season through injury, he shone out in Japan and was consequently selected in 2010 to receive one of the WRU’s core Sevens contracts. He went on to represent Wales at all six of the IRB Sevens World Series tournaments of that season.
The former Cowbridge Comprehensive student represented Wales at Under 16, 18 and 20s levels and he made his senior Blues debut against Leinster in Cardiff in March 2010.
