The deceptively quick centre from Whitland played 15 of the 17 internationals Wales played in 2011. He had a fine RWC 2011, crossing the whitewash against Fiji and Namibia before scoring a superb individual try against Ireland in the quarter-final.

Davies is now a mainstay of the Scarlets midfield since making his debut in the 2006/07 season. Over that period, Davies has been unfortunate with injuries - his early progress hampered by a knee injury incurred at the Under 19 World Championship in Dubai in 2006.

Fortunately, he overcame that and went on to play a key role in Wales’ Junior World Championship campaign in 2008. Davies received his first senior Wales call up for the tour of North America and made his Welsh debut against Canada in 2009, before scoring a brace of tries against the United States.

He was subsequently named in Wales' squad for the 2009 autumn internationals and made appearances against Samoa and Argentina. He took his chance in the 2011 RBS 6 Nations and now forms a formidable midfield combination alongside Jamie Roberts.
