Rhys Priestland came in to face England at short notice in the pre-World Cup warm-up games and his form saw him establish himself as first choice No. 10 for the RWC 2011.

A product of Llangathen, his breakthrough season was 2010/11, where he scored 215 points for his region in 25 appearances, including six tries.

His consistency saw him picked for a place in the RBS 6 Nations squad where he made his international debut against Scotland at Murrayfield. A former Wales Under 19 and U20 cap, Rhys made his debut for the Scarlets at 18 having played first team rugby for Llandeilo and Carmarthen Athletic
