The PE teacher has represented South Wales at hockey and the Welsh squad of excellence at netball. Her playing career looked over when suffering a horrific leg injury during a regional game in season 2010 /11 but she bravely fought her way back to the top.
After playing her entire career in the backline, she switched to the back row for the 2011/12 season where she scored a try against Italy at the Millennium Stadium in Wales's 30-13 victory.
