Girls U9s - U15s Rugby

Our Rugby Cluster Centres are for girls U9s through to U15s for girls to access rugby opportunities during the months of April to July. The centres will give girls the opportunity to explore all the fantastic options that rugby has to offer including Tag, Touch, and contact rugby in a safe and fun girls only environment something that doesn't currently exist for under 13 year olds. The clusters will take part in festival based competitions to support their development during this period.

After a successful launch that saw 2000 girls regularly train and play at the 27 new cluster centre they will be back in Spring 2017! In the meantime there is still plenty of opportunities for Girls aged 9-15 with 15 new teams having been established to allow girls to continue to play rugby in the traditional rugby season. These will fall into the Under 15, Under 18 and senior structures already in place, while minis and juniors will be able to join their local club for mixed rugby.

To find out about opportunities for women and girls to play rugby, email playrugby@wru.wales
