| As the Wales team make final preparations for their opening Rugby World Cup match in Nantes on Sunday, a delivery of match tickets for RWC games at the Millennium Stadium has arrived in Cardiff, so that fans in Wales can experience Rugby World Cup fever for themselves.
Many of the remaining tickets for Wales v Japan and Canada v Fiji will tommorrow (Friday 7th September 2007) be issued to the Welsh Rugby Union to sell directly to Welsh fans and WRU club members. They are priced from £10 for Canada v Fiji (Sunday September 16th, 1pm) and from £16 for Wales’s Pool B game against Japan (Thursday September 20th, 8pm) and will be available to personal callers at the Millennium Stadium ticket office, 98 St Mary Street from 9am on Saturday.
Tickets are also available from Ticketmaster (online here and by phoning 08705 582 582).
Wales Coach Gareth Jenkins said: “The players get a huge boost when we play in front of our home crowd at the Millennium Stadium and we are extremely lucky to be playing two Pool games there during this Rugby World Cup. It would give the team a huge boost to run out to a noisy, packed, Welsh crowd for those games and I’m pleased to see that tickets are now extremely accessible to our Welsh supporters.”
