| Wales's kicking coach watched from the dugout as the home side clinched a nail-biting win over Argentina at the Millennium Stadium. And the legendary outside half says the win can help Wales pull off a match-winning performance against France on Sunday.
"For us the World Cup started on Saturday," he said. "We were excellent in the first half, and although the second half didn't go as well as we'd have liked, you've got to remember Argentina are the 5th best side in the world.
"It was an excellent result, but there is definitely room for improvement against France. But if we kick well, chase well, and keep a strong defensive line, then hopefully we can give another fine performance on Sunday."
Jenkins also urged fans to turn up in their droves to support Wales against Rugby World Cup challengers France next Sunday.
He said: "France are a very good side, and one which are bound to being involved come the latter stages of the World Cup.
"All players prefer to play in front of a big crowd, and a full house at the Stadium could really boost the boys. We'd like to thank the 36,736 fans that turned up on Saturday, but we would like double that number supporting us against France."
