| The Pumas travel to the Millennium Stadium tomorrow in the first of the Invesco Perpetual Summer Series, and Jenkins reckons if Wales's set-pieces function well, his side can shock the team ranked fifth in the world.
"We've had a good week training," he said. "We're pretty positive as a group, our heads aren't down, and we're really looking forward to Saturday. If we can get enough possession from set pieces I feel we can go on and build a great performance.
"Everyone wants to support a winning side, and let's hope we can get a result against Argentina that will lift the whole nation."
The two-match Invesco Perpetual Summer Series also sees Wales face Rugby World Cup hosts France on August 26th. Jenkins, who dubbed the matches as "ideal" preparation for rugby's showpiece tournament, says fans will see his strongest players line-up in the games.
The coach said he was also relishing the prospect of challenging two of the sides in the top five of the IRB rankings.
He said: "We believe we can put in a real performance in both the friendlies. Our strongest group of players will be playing over the next two games, and it's the first chance they've had to really come together as a unit.
"They are the ideal games for us; we are playing in front of our home fans, and going up against sides above us in the world rankings.
He added: "The Invesco Perpetual series will give us an idea of where we are, and what we need to improve before the Rugby World Cup."
