| This department is led by the new Head of Marketing Gwyn Dolphin and is responsible for generating revenue and promoting the WRU Group and Millennium Stadium Plc as a brand. This section is accountable for attracting potential sponsors and the completion of major sponsorship contracts for the Group. It is also charged with developing and maintaining the WRU brand, the successful branding and endorsement of sponsors and securing advertising contracts with clients to publicise their brand within the Stadium. In addition the marketing department is responsible for driving the Millennium Stadium brand and discovering other unexplored sponsorship and branding avenues.
The marketing department is also responsible for driving sales of hospitality, corporate boxes and exclusive packages available within the Stadium for the many events staged over the course of each year. The promotion of the Millennium Stadium Tours also falls within Marketing’s responsibilities as does e-commerce via the WRU Online Shop.
