| The Elite Performance department covers a broad spectrum of all aspects of the elite game in Wales. The Elite Performance section is responsible for delivering the resources and facilities required to enhance the development of the Welsh national squad, Wales Sevens and national age grade teams of U18 and U20 players. The Elite Performance team is also responsible for the structure and development of the semi-professional game in Wales.
The department is also involved within the development of personnel within elite coaching set-ups and also the elite side of refereeing. Another important aspect under the control of the elite performance department is that of the Welsh Rugby Union’s Academies.
