Division One East Round-Up
Merthyr remain top of the table after edging out Caerphilly 31-24. Dan Hitchins and John Hill ran in two tries each for Merthyr, while a Rhys Williams hat-trick and a try from Nathan Gittings ensured Caerphilly left the Wern with two bonus points.
Newbridge maintained their 100 per cent winning record with a 43 -19 victory away at Ystrad Rhonnda.
Bargoed beat Beddau 45-32 in a game containing nine tries and Newport Saracens remain rooted to the bottom of the table after losing 26-0 to Llanharan.
Division One West Round-Up
Carmarthen Quins extended their lead at the top of the table by beating fourth placed Whitland 19-3.
They now sit eight points clear after the third vs second clash between Narberth and Tomawr was postponed.
Centre Chris Keenan was a hat-trick hero for Felinfoel as they scored six tries in an impressive 41-24 win.
Danvant came close to picking up their first win of the season, narrowly falling 21-20 to Maesteg.
Corus won 21-14 at Bonymaen and Llangennech defeated Carmarthen Athletic 20-15. |
