| Nant Conwy gained a comprehensive 26-3 win in their Division One top of the table clash against Ruthin at Pant Garw. |
Carwyn Ellis ran home two of their four tries, and Owain Jones claimed 11 points from the boot to pull clear of their rivals at the summit of the table.
It was all change at the bottom as Llanidloes bounced back at the first attempted from last weeks confidence-sapping 81-0 mauling at the hands of Ruthin.
Their first win of the season didn't come easy though, in the end only one point separated the sides as they beat Bala 13-12 in a nerve-racking win at Cae Hefren. Dolgellau also got of the mark, defeating Denbigh 8-3 to put their run of three straight .
The results leaves struggling Llandudno as the only team without a win this season, and rooted to the bottom of the Division One table after their 21-3 defeat at Pwllheli. Caernarfon kept up their 100 per cent winning record with a 22-0 win over Llangefni and Mold won 12-3 away at Colwyn Bay.
A hat-trick of tries from Gerwyn Coleman and a try a piece from brothers Ryan and Wyn Blockley helped Machynlleth to a 41-15 victory over Wrexham at the Plas Grounds,as they responded in the perfect way to last weeks defeat away at COBRA.
Welshpool ran in ten tries to thrash Bangor 63-3 in the battle of the bottom two.
At the other end of the table Bro Ffestiniog claimed a comfortable 32-0 win against Rhyl and District to remain top, and preserve their 100 per cent record.
With six wins out of six the rest of the division will surely be sitting up to take notice and their match against fellow undefeated side COBRA next week looks a mouth-watering prospect.
Bethesda also kept their perfect start to the season in tact with a 19-6 victory away at Newtown, with Gavin Owen among the try scorers.
COBRA also made it four wins out of four with an emphatic 36-0 victory away to Rhos. |
