| Regan King is set to miss the first month of the season after suffering a hamstring injury. |
The Scarlets centre sustained the injury last week in training and missed last Friday's pre-season victory over Wasps at Adams Park.
And there are fears the New Zealander will miss the region's first five Magners League matches.
Scarlets head coach Nigel Davies said: "He has pulled a hamstring so it will be between two and four weeks.
Fellow centre Jonathan Davies has also been ruled out of Friday's opening Magners clash with Ulster next week with a leg injury.
Davies added: "It's not as serious as Regan's injury, but it's something we have to live with. These things happen but we have adequate cover and it's an opportunity for the other guys." |
