About the Welsh Rugby Union podcast
The Welsh Rugby Union podcast was launched in February 2007 as a new and exclusive web-based audio service from the Welsh Rugby Union website.

Newly available on a weekly basis via the WRU website and also on iTunes, the Welsh Rugby Union podcast is dedicated to covering all aspects of Welsh rugby from the grass roots level to the elite end of the game with exclusive behind the scenes access to the players, coaches and stakeholders accross the game of rugby union in Wales.

The Welsh Rugby Union podcast also aims to look at the wider aspects and appeal of the game of rugby in Wales worldwide and its celebrity fans and also explores the multifarious nature of the home of Welsh rugby by providing behind-the-scenes access to Millennium Stadium and its galaxy of stars both from the sports and music world.

To date, as well as covering all-things Welsh rugby the Welsh Rugby Union podcast has caught up with Manchester United and Wales Football legend Ryan Giggs, former Wales rugby star and current Super League player Iestyn Harris, former Olympic Boxing Champion Amir Kahn and WBO World Super-Middleweight Champion Joe Calzaghe.

As an online magazine programme that aims to be all-encompassing, the Welsh Rugby Union welcomes any tips on stories that should be covered or regular features that you would like to see included and developed. You can email these suggestions to webmaster@wru.co.uk or fill in the online enquiry form below.

The Welsh Rugby Union podcast is published weekly in both mp3 and Windows Media (streamed) formats. The mp3 download version is available from the WRU website for visitors running Internet Explorer 7; it is usually a large file, so please be patient whilst it loads into the site's media player if directly downloading it via the internet. This mp3 version can also be downloaded directly from the WRU website to your computer desktop for transfer to your iPod, mp3 player or other audio storage device. The mp3 version is also available via an iTunes subscription. For users running Internet Explorer 6 and below, or if you wish to merely listen at your desktop, a streamed Windows Media version is available, whilst this is also a large file, it should not take too long to initially load up and start streaming in the site's media player.

To subscribe to the Welsh Rugby Union podcast via iTunes, open the iTunes program on your computer, once open select 'Advanced' and choose 'Subscribe to Podcast' from the subsequent dropdown menu. A window will pop open asking for a URL to be pasted in; the correct URL for the Welsh Rugby Union podcast subscription is RBK-WRU-Podcast.xml.
