Ebbw Vale stormed five points clear in the Principality Premiership with a 37-23 victory over Bridgend at Eugene Cross Park.
The Steelmen were limited to a penalty try in the first half before smashing past the Ravens with a second half blitz. Kristian Owen, Andrew Bevan, Gareth Miles and Rhodri Dicks all went over as Ebbw Vale made the most of Newport's game at Aberavon falling foul of the weather.

Llanelli saw their ten-game unbeaten brought to a shock end at strugglers Maesteg. Veteran scrum half Kevin Ellis got injury-hit Maesteg on their way before prop Gareth Edwards, centre Jonathan Rimmer and fullback Neil Dixon wrapped up a 33-21 win.

Pontypridd leapt into second place after tries from Blues pair Dafydd Lockyer and Dai Flanagan secured a 27-19 win at Llandovery, now four points adrift at the foot of the table.

Swansea's Ricky Williams snatched a controversial 23-22 win over Cardiff after referee Huw Watkins ordered a late conversion to be taken again. Williams failed to convert Lee Bevan's late try from the touchline but got a second chance after Cardiff were punished for shouting as they charged the kick. The All White's fullback was on the mark to win the game.

Neath ran out 36-20 winners over Glamorgan Wanderers at the Gnoll after Jonathan Spratt, Chris Davies, Stephen Thomas and Gareth Jones all went over for the Champions.

The game between Cross Keys and Bedwas was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
