Jones's second crack against Sailosi

Mark Jones believes Wales must be wary of the Pacific Islanders at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday.
The Wales star is wary of the Pacific side – made up of players from Fiji, Tonga and Samoa – and says the Welsh must make sure of a win ahead of their remaining autumn matches against Canada and New Zealand.

Confidence is high in Wales after last Saturday's dramatic fightback to draw 29-all with Australia and Jones believes that only a win is acceptable.

He said: "They are an unknown quantity and a potential banana skin for us; they are quality individuals and if they click, they can beat anyone on the day. It's important we get our game right and impose ourselves on them. We can't afford a bad day at the office."

Jones knows he must be on his guard against his Pacific opponent on Saturday after scoring a try against him in last month's Heineken Cup. Jones touched down in the Llanelli Scarlets 32-25 win over London Irish when he was up against Samoan Sailosi Tagicakibau and the pair will be back at loggerheads come Saturday.

He said: "He is big, fast and powerful. He showed that if you give him half a gap, he will punish you. Sometimes you have to adjust your games to fit the opponent and the Pacific Islanders will need closing down quickly."

"You need all the tools in the box to contain those guys."
