Carmarthen Athletic survived a strong challenge from Kidwelly to continue their unbeaten start to the season at the top of ASDA League Division Two West...
Athletic held out for a 15-10 win to stay two points clear of Tonmawr who crushed bottom side Maesteg Quins 63-14 with the help of former Australian rugby league star Julian O'Neill. However there were precious few scoring chances in a remarkable encounter at Penclawdd who scrapped past Tonna 3-0.

Tumble lost ground in Division Three after going down to their first defeat of the season in a surprise 20-9 loss at Newcastle Emlyn. They fall to fourth in the table behind Aberystwyth, Llangefni and new leaders Llanelli Wanderers who all won.

Mumbles continue their storming start to the season in Three South-West with a comfortable 41-20 at strugglers Brynamman, though Heol-y-Cyw won their third game in a row with a 57-5 hammering of bottom club Bryncoch.

Aberavon Quins and Tondu fell off the pace with their first defeats of the season at Kenfig Hill and Nantyfyllon respectively.
There was little change elsewhere, Llanbydder stay top in Division Four with a 23-5 win at Morriston, BP (Llandarcy) won 19-11 at Pontycymmer to lead Four South-West and Tycroes enjoyed an easy afternoon against Bynea in Division Five, winning 76-0.
