Wales Youth follow their match at Dunvant last November which celebrated 50 years of youth rugby at that club, by playing a similar match at Resolven on Wednesday, January 14, that also celebrates a half century of youth rugby at that club.

Neath Athletic fly half Jonathan Spratt has a move to full back, while Lloyd Ryland of Bridgend Athletic, who scored a try against England for Wales under-16s last season, continues at centre.

The pivot role goes to Michael Huckridge, the former Pencoed Coprehensive and now Llanharan player, whose try and drop goal helped defeat England A und-16s last season and then gained a full cap against England at Neath.

Two forwards and one back from Newport HSOB are included in the squad - Brendan Lampitt at open-side flanker and lock Richard Cornock will be on the replacements bench. Ashley Smith is in as a reserve back.

The Youth will play against the Boys Clubs of Wales at Porthcawl on February 1 before hosting a four-nations tournament - which Wales have won on all five previous occasions - between February 15-21 and involving sides from Spain (u-19), Portugal (u-19) and Italy (u-18).

The Youth field as a Presidents XV against Resolven (7.00pm) and the team is: - J Spratt; D Phillips, L Protheroe, L Ryland, C Clayton; M Huckridge, L Davies; H Gustaffsson, A Gills, R Wilkes, M Collins, J Connor, B Lewis, B Lampitt, R Gallagher. Replacements: D Preece, A James, R Cornock, O Swindell, A Smith, L Williams, R Cridland.
