DIVISION 3.

Cwmbran sprung a surprise in the East as they toppled leaders Brynithel 17-8, who still hold a three-point gap from Llanishen and Senghenydd. In the South-East only Gilfach Goch of the top three clubs played, but they crashed 15-13 at home to Nelson.

Haverfordwest remain unbeaten in the West after a narrow 20-17 success at Gowerton and are on 36 points with Kidwelly, who defeated Trimsaran 29-20 and Pontyberem, who romped home 29-0 at Aberystwyth.

Banwen's 41-5 win at Ystalyfera keeps them two points ahead of Maesteg Quins in the South-West, where Trebanos had their first win of the season, sensationally beating Brynamman 13-10, after trailing 0-10.

DIVISION 4.

Result of the day in this division was when bottom club Maesteg Celtic came to top club Alltwen in the South-West and triumphed by 20-13. However, Alltwen remain one point ahead of Taibach and the Celtic are one point behind Abercrave at the foot of the table.

Cardiff HSOB had a purple patch after the interval to rout Chjepstow 45-17 in the East, where Bargoed stay top after a nail-biting 6-5 win at Monmouth. Ruthin continue to rule the North after a 20-3 win over Pwllheli with two tries by former Wales Youth cap Jim Salisbury and Loughor top the West after defeating close rivals Llanelli Wanderers 41-15. Abercwmboi's win over Dowlais by 37-6 leaves them in front of Fairwater in the South-East.

Congratulations to Bala in the North. After several good efforts they gained their first point since last season's promotion by drawing 15-15 at home to Caernarfon.

DIVISION 5.

Trinant are looking over their shoulders at fast-closing Oakdale in the East and Denbigh are being chased by Colwyn Bay in the North.

However, Cefneithin are now nine points in front of Crymych, who lost at Pembroke, in the West and Resolven lead Aberavon Green Stars by seven points in the South-West.

In the South-East, Llandaff defeated near-neighbours Rhiwbina 16-0 to take an eight-point lead over unbeaten Llantwit Major, who were left inactive once again.

The clubs remaining unbeaten in league play are Maesteg (Div 1), Llanharan (Div 1), Haverfordwest (3 West), Bargoed (4 East), Loughor (4 West), Ruthin (4 North), Llantwit Major (5 South-East) and Resolven (5 South-West). Of those, only Haverfordwest, Bargoed, Loughor and Ruthin have 100% records, while both Maesteg and Llanharan remain also unbeaten in the Konica Minolta Cup.
