In the West, Dunvant gained a 34-29 win over leaders Tonmawr and now trail their rivals by only two points, but Tonmawr have a game in hand.

However, Dunvant lost centre Kevin Hopkins with a broken ankle - their third break in as many weeks.

Pencoed picked up a 20-16 win over Aberavon quins with tries by Mike Tossell, Glen Hiscocks and Gareth Taylor. No 8 Gareth Rice gained the Quins' try.

Vardre lost their ninth spot as Cwmavon defeated them by 25-13 and jumped above them.

At the top of the East there was a great second-half for Builth Wells, who leapover opponents Merthyr after their 20-18 win. Losing 13-10 at the interval, they fought back with two more tries.

Penygraig yet again conceded a century of points - going down 124-0 at home to Llantrisant and former Wales lock Greg Prosser notched a try in Llantwit Fardre's 19-3 win over Ystrrad Rhondda.
