Trinant's 20-9 victory over visitors Machen sealed a glorious season for the Troggs with the East title. In the same division St Albans travelled to RTB (Ebbw Vale) and recorded a 40-30 victory, Bettws beat Gwernyfed 43-17, and

Blaenavon grabbed a rare victory after beating Usk 14-7. South Wales Police continued their improvement in South East with a 27-5 victory over Bridgend Sports. Second-placed Llantwit Major were well beaten at Cilfynydd where the home side ran out convincing 23-5 winners. Ferndale moved above Ogmore Vale thanks to a 33-16 success.

Aberavon Green Stars took advantage of South West division leaders Resolven's blank day to move to the top of the table after their 19-6 win at BP Llandarcy.

The Stars have now played two games more than Resolven and third-place Tonna kept in the hunt with a 50-0 rout of Neath Athletic.

Only two matches were played in North with Bro Ffestiniog pipping Bangor 19-18, and Machynlleth winning 28-13 at Welshpool.

Pontyates and Aberaereon had the opportunity of closing the gap on the leading sides in West with two of the top three without a game. Pontyates winning 22-15 at Llangwm and Aberaeron romping to a 46-5 success at home to lowly Furnace United.

Crymych moved to the top over Cefneithen after defeating Penygroes 50-6 and

with four games left for both sides, they lead Cefneithen by three points.
