Pontypool, Cardiff and Llanelli all guarranteed themselves Premier Division rugby next season after all three gained victories over the weekend.

Llanelli won 19-11 at Carmarthen on Sunday with Gavin Quinnell's try in the final minutes ensuring
victory. Cardiff had their match against Swansea in the bag at halftime, leading 25-3 and finished with a 35-9 win, though Luke Richards of Swansea passed 300 league points with the first of his three penalty goals.

Pontypool owed their 29-20 home victory over Bedwas to 19 points from the boot of Jonathan Williams and that leaves Ebbw Vale and Llandovery to fight out the bottom spot. Ebbw Vale have finished their matches and a Llandovery win over Cross Keys would lift them over the Steelmen.

Newport were awarded winners' medals before their match against Cross Keys, and went on to beat the Pandy Park side 28-22 after trailing 5-13 at the break.

Caerphilly had one eye on the Konica Minolta Cup final at the Millennium Stadium and they rested virtually all of their first-choice team for their trip to Aberavon. The move backfired spectacularly as the Wizards avenged their Cup semi-final loss to the Cheesemen by becoming the first Welsh Premier side in history to score 100 points in a match. Aberavon ran in five-pointers almost at will, with 12 players scoring tries and fly-half Jamie Davies bagging 32 points in the 102-5 massacre.

At the Brewery Field, Bridgend ran in eight tries as they hammered Newbridge 53-5 with both clubs ending their season.
