Ulster Rugby are urging their fans to snap up tickets to the big game against the Llanelli Scarlets on Friday night, and are expecting a big contingent at Stradey Park.

Ulster are going for the Celtic League and Cup double to give departing coach Alan Solomons the perfect send-off.

Captain Andy Ward last week played his 100th match for the province and Solomons has paid tribute to the hard-working backrower.

'One of my best decisions at Ulster was to appoint Wardy as captain,' he said.

The Scarlets are trying to break Irish domination of Celtic Rugby. Previous winners of the league competition are Leinster in 2001/2, and Munster 2002/3.

Ulster continued Ireland's success when they beat Edinburgh to the inaugural Celtic Cup in December.

Now Gareth Jenkins' side are in the box seat to take the - but the Scarlets will have to be on top of their game to come away with the win as Ulster have shown all season they have the ability to win on the road.

'We know alot about Ulster,' said Scarlets coach Gareth Jenkins.

'We know they are a strong unit that works hard for each other all over the park. We will have to be at our best to come away with the points.'
